After minor renovations, neighborhood gem Sandy's (16th & 5th) is back up & running again. The counter space has been moved around, and the menu tweaked. There are standard American bagels, pancakes, omelettes & muffins on offer along with tacos (home made tortillas), quesadillas & daily specials. And of course, there are owner Elia Adames' delicious tamales! Sandy's has had a few ups and downs over the years, with several changes of management, but it remains a local gem. Stop by & support one of the (really) local, one-off businesses we're lucky to have in the neighborhood.
