3542891 266 17 STREET 01/06/2016 30 01/19/2016 L2 RES CONSTRUCTION IS CAUSING NEIGHBORING PROPERTY TO SHAKE. THERE IS A CRACK IN NEIGHBORING CHIMNEY . THE FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE WAS DUG UP.
As if by magic, the violations are resolved with no fines issued.
FAILURE TO PROVIDE APPROVED/ACCEPTED PLANS AT JOB SITE AT TIME OF INSPECITON. AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION TEMPORARY WOOD BRACING WAS OBSERVEDON THE 1ST & 3RD FL. NO PLANS WERE ON SITE SHOWING THIS BRACING.
FAILURE TO SAFEGUARD ALL PERSONS & PROPERTY AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION.AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION OPEN FLOOR JOISTS WERE OBSERVED ON THE 1ST & 2ND FL. NO SAFEGUARDS WERE INSTALLED TO PREVENT WORKERS FROM FALLING.
Meanwhile, over at 158 15th Street, where there was massive internal & rear wall demolition work without permits, & continued foundation work for extending the property, despite a SWO, it appears that developers are still up to their old tricks
THEY ARE WORKING WITH NO PERMITS AND ITS UNSAFE FOR WORKERS. THEY ARE DUMPING
DEMOLITION MATERIALS. (2/23)

THE BUILDING IN A PILE THIS WAS DONE WITHOUT ANY SHORING AND NO UNDER PINNING (2/23)
A partial SWO is still in place at the site for:
WORK W/O A PERMIT. NOTED AT TIME OF INSPECTION SECTION OF EXTERIOR WALL AT 1ST FL (GRADE LEVEL) WALL CUT & MASONRY UNITS REMOVED DOOR. NO PERMITS OBTAIN FOR ANY WORK BEIN G PERFORMED AT AT LOCATION. STOP ALL WO

The picture of 266 is of the rear facade, not the front.
Thank you for the correction! Usually you get a view of the front facade - I should have looked more carefully.
It's hard to tell that it's the rear. I'm sure the neighbors will be pleasantly surprised when the project is done, as that would be a real shame as the front!
