Just down from sensuality shop Please ("Make Her Mothers Day One She'll Never Forget!"), and (renamed) Jake's Handcrafted beer & sausage bar, the former Cunningham Deli & Grocery is getting remodeled. "Lashes," a man inside the store told me, batting his eyes in explanation. And two stores below that, at the long-closed Pacheco sastreria, renovations are moving along for in-coming gay bar Excelsior, forced out from its old spot at Fifth & 6th.
