Getting the Boot?

What's this? Another notice at Jo, Brian ~~and Tony & Henry & Billy & Frank~~ & Joseph's Key Food, at Fifth & 12th Street? The store has been closed since early October, ostensibly due to an "extensive power outage", and despite promises to return soon "better than before" (not that hard to achieve, any one that shopped there mused) it has stayed shut. So what does the latest note have to offer?

An eviction notice, for non-payment of rent ($30,000 and change). This looks like the end of the road for the superette.

15th Street said...: That place gets shadier with each passing day. The court order has been removed from the glass door; meanwhile, the interior of the store remains wholly devoid of life. onemorefoldedsunset said...: Yes, that will be welcome. It would be great if the 12th store could be something like the Emporium market at Seventh, which has great produce and all the basics. Though from the reviews online it seems best to pay cash there!; January 2, 2015 at 5:00 PM
