Bird Man

Did everyone at Gloucester Green Market know the crow-headed man, or was it stereotypical English reticence that made people act as if he were nothing out of the ordinary?  The man he bought this book from at the stall made the usual casual pleasantries & acted as if he served bird people all the time.  This woman looking in the cheese bins didn't seem much bothered by his presence either . For some reason this made me very happy.  I think someone said that Mr. Crow is a bookdealer, but I could find out nothing about him.  I'd like a mask like that, especially for every-day outings.
