Thanks, Melanie! These are on Third Avenue between 3rd & 7th. I just got a Canon Rebel, but I haven't used it yet - I'm going to take a couple of classes at Cooper. My little Powershot (snap!) has been great though, & I'll probably use it more than the Rebel just because it's so easy to carry around. I'm kind of nervous of my fancy new toy!
Kate--is this in Brooklyn???Looks oddly familiar. I am from Brooklyn. The rebel is good and it is great to have a choice of cameras. Check out the features and let me know how much better/or what is better with the rebel. This photo is mezmerizing to me. 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn was a nowhereland back in the day. Hanging out with my Dad we drove through these former mean streets.
Yes, it is Brooklyn. There's a Whole Foods going in right next to that beautiful building on 3rd Street, which has been left to rot for years & years. I like wandering along Third, though not that long ago it was mostly hookers doing the wandering! Where did you grow up in Brooklyn? Will let you know about the camera!
I was born and grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn on Eighth Avenue between Union and Berkeley. Can't wait to hear about your new journey with the rebel and see the photos too!!
